Wildlife viewing on safari is one of the few activities that knows no cultural or generational bounds. Few experiences bond travelers of all ages like watching a herd of zebras pass by or a lion on the hunt. Every member of the family will discover fascination, humor and wonder each day.

Here are a few other reasons why our Tanzania Safari for Families this summer is an ideal bonding experience for family members of all ages:

An itinerary specially suited for children: We take into account the fact that children have different needs than adults. In addition, we offer an invaluable resource – a guide who has kids of his own and understands how to keep them happy and entertained.

Tanzanian pen pals create meaningful experiences: Each child is matched with a Tanzanian child of a similar age, and letters are exchanged for the months prior to your adventure. While on safari, kids will actually have a chance to meet their pen pals at a local school. This is often considered a highlight of the trip.

Activities for all ages: Sketching, visiting a Maasai boma, learning Swahili phrases, playing a game of soccer, swimming or tracking wildlife … There is something for everyone, and activities are planned to engage all ages, across generations and encompass numerable interests.

Kid-friendly meals served at flexible times: Kid-friendly menus are served when kids need them! You won’t have to worry about kids getting impatient or hungry. Your group has the option of eating earlier or later, as you wish. And for those extended afternoons on wildlife viewing drives, there are always snacks in the vehicle. Treats like crackers, cookies, trail mix and fruit are available.
