Big Cats Prowl Across WWF Travel’s 2010 Lineup
Aug 13th, 2009 by wwftravel
Bengal tigers creeping stealthily through tall grasses in India. Leopards racing at break-neck pace across South African savannahs. Lions stalking their prey on the Serengeti. WWF members have at least nine opportunities to see majestic big cats on the prowl this fall and throughout 2010. Among them:
• A 16-day journey in India in March 2010 will introduce you to former hunting grounds that now serve as safe havens for tigers. Explore Bandhavgarh National Park, which boasts the highest density of Bengal tigers of any park in India. A chance to see these magnificent cats may provide inspiration for you just as it did for Rudyard Kipling, writer of The Jungle Book.
• Expert guides will lead you in tracking lions and cheetahs during East African wildlife safaris. WWF Travel offers trips to Kenya this November and in June 2010; head to Tanzania either in February or on our June family safari.
• Though elusive, jaguars and panthers have been spotted on tours throughout Brazil’s Pantanal.
Where else can you see big cats with WWF? Monitor our Big Cats page for information on more trips in 2010.
